movement in response

  1. Du-dum. Du-dum-dum.
    Du-dum-du-dum-du-dum-dum-du-dum-du-dum-du-dum-dum.

Doors move on hinges, elbows too. but friction keeps us still for seconds before conflict overwhelms the stiffness.

What is movement? Space and time and change, but all that is all is all that there is and it is always itself but with everything else.

A shifting and shaping with intention?
What can we mean when we do what we do?
    How better the surprising shot
    instinctual but with purpose
deeply buried, unknown to the newly formed brain cells but intentional
    nonetheless.

    What movement?
    Muscle memory, habit and knowledge
    What can be intentional?
My DNA remembers more than any photograph could portray of my knowledge.
    And yet...

    There is dance.
    And there are waves.
And the movement of a flame on a candle that I lit beside your bed to envelop your cheek.
I wanted to watch you sleeping
but I did not want to wake you.

Stillness/movement beside you. I do not move but I can hear your heart beat.

    Du-dum. Du-dum-dum.
    Du-dum-du-dum-du-dum-dum-du-dum-du-dum-du-dum-dum.
